Spend two weeks on the east coast of America, getting to know it’s Black Rights legacy, original settlements and independence history. Departing from the UK, this tour visits Atlanta, Georgia, Washington and New York. From antebellum mansions to the White House and Statue of Liberty, this tour delves into the beginnings of modern America. You begin with a city tour in Atlanta, home of Martin Luther King Center and World of Coca Cola. Then move onto Savannah to indulge in typical Southern fare at one of the most historic venues in Georgia and visit the beautiful Magnolia Plantation House and Gardens. Explore Charleston, the oldest city on America’s Eastern seaboard, head north to the buzzing city of Richmond, the capital of the Confederacy during the Civil War and discover Jamestown, where the first British settlement was established in 1607. You’ll then head to Washington to discover the iconic White House and the Pentagon, stop in Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed in 1776, and home of the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and the Franklin Institute. Finally, end in New York city.
