Day 1 UK-Toronto

After taking your included VIP door-to-door travel service to the airport, fly to Toronto for two nights at the 3-star Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Toronto (3Q). This 575-room hotel in the heart of the city has a restaurant, indoor swimming pool and 24-hour fitness centre. All air-conditioned rooms have coffee-maker, fridge, telephone, hairdryer, Wi-Fi (extra charge), and flat-screen television.

Day 2 Toronto

On this morning's included city tour you will see the magnificent skyline for which Toronto is famed, as well as the the harbour front with its shops, cafes and galleries, and landmarks such as the CN Tower and Yorkville. Your afternoon is at leisure – perhaps enjoy shopping in the downtown area.

Day 3 Toronto-Montreal

Travel to Montreal (336 miles, five hours and 30 minutes). Head east, along the shores of Lake Ontario to Kingston for an included cruise to see the Thousand Islands of the St Lawrence River, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

The islands vary from very tiny to substantial, and today's scenic cruise provides an ideal opportunity to sit back and explore them while enjoying an included lunch.

After lunch continue your journey to the province of Quebec and the world's second largest French-speaking city. Take a city tour of vibrant and cosmopolitan Montreal, staying overnight at the 4-star Hotel Place Dupuis (3Q). The hotel has a restaurant, an indoor pool, sauna and a gym. All 353 air-conditioned rooms have a television, telephone, tea and coffee-making facilities, a hairdryer, safe, and free Wi-fi.

Day 4 Montreal-Quebec City

Travel to Quebec City (158 miles, three hours) for an included half-day sightseeing tour of North America’s only walled city north of Mexico. Explore the 17th and 18th-century Place Royale and Petit Champlain Quarter, the Citadel and the turreted Château Frontenac Hotel.

Stay two nights at the 4-star Chateau Laurier (4Q), or the 4-star Hotel Palace Royal (3Q+) depending on your departure date.

Day 5 Quebec City

Today is at leisure to continue exploring Quebec City independently.

Day 6 Quebec City-Ottawa

Travel to Canada's capital city of Ottawa (276 miles, four hours and 30 minutes), where you'll have lunch and take a sightseeing tour.

Visit Parliament Hill, a high point of the city and home to the Parliament Buildings, Canada’s seat of government, as well as the National Arts Centre and Byward Market. Stay two nights at the 4-star Delta Ottawa City Centre Hotel (3Q+). The hotel has one restaurant, a bar, fitness centre, swimming pool and sauna. Each of the en suite guest rooms has a television, telephone, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, coffee-making facilities, and Wi-Fi.

Day 7 Ottawa

Spend the day at leisure. The city is home to excellent museums and the Rideau Canal, a UNESCO listed site which you could explore independently.

Day 8 Ottawa-Niagara Falls

This morning you'll set out early towards one of the world's seven natural wonders, Niagara Falls (331 miles, five hours and 30 minutes).

Stay two nights at the 4-star Sheraton on the Falls Hotel (4Q), which overlooks the Canadian Falls. Facilities include a choice of restaurants and a coffee shop, fitness centre, indoor and outdoor pool, spa (charges apply), shops and casino. All 669 rooms have television, telephone, coffee maker, Wi-Fi (charges apply) iron and ironing board.

Day 9 Niagara Falls

Ride the Hornblower Niagara cruise to the foot of the falls, weather permitting, on an included excursion. If the weather is bad, take a 'Journey Behind the Falls’.

This evening, savour panoramic views of the illuminated falls during your final dinner at the hotel’s restaurant.

Day 10 Niagara Falls-Toronto-UK

Enjoy the morning at Niagara-on-the-Lake, reputed to be one of the prettiest towns in Canada. This charming town at the northern end of the Niagara river on the shores of Lake Ontario, has period houses, a museum, fort and marina.

In the afternoon, return to Toronto (80 miles, 90 minutes) for your overnight flight to the UK.
