Day 1 UK-Malaga-Granada

Fly to Malaga and transfer to Granada (84 miles, 90 minutes), the city famously evoked in Washington Irvine's ‘Tales of the Alhambra’.

Stay two nights at the 4-star Barcelo Carmen (4Q). Look forward to an evening orientation walk around the city’s old town.

Day 2 Granada

Join an included visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Alhambra, an ornate 14th-century palace built by the Moors.

This evening there is the opportunity to attend an optional flamenco show.

Day 3 Granada-Baeza

Today travel to the remote town of Baeza (81 miles, 90 minutes). Located in the hills of the 'Comarca de la Loma', between the Guadalquivir and Guadalimar valleys, the town is surrounded by a sea of olive groves. Baeza, together with neighbouring Ubeda, is home to an array of Renaissance-style palaces and churches and you can enjoy an included tour of both these UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Stay two nights at the 4-star TRH Ciudad de Baeza Hotel (3Q).

Day 4 Cazorla National Park

Join a full day tour of Cazorla National Park with lunch included in a local restaurant.

As Spain’s largest protected area and one of its most extensive forested zones, it contains mountains, waterfalls, diverse wildlife and picturesque villages. A haven for native flora and fauna, it has one of the highest numbers of butterfly species in the Iberian Peninsula. The limestone mountains and pine forests are home to deer, ibex and 130 species of birds including golden eagles, lammergeiers and griffon vultures.

Day 5 Baeza-Córdoba

Travel to Córdoba (86 miles, 90 minutes).

The city is famous for its historic Mosque-Cathedral, the spiritual heart of the Islamic kingdom of Al-Andalus. After the Moors were expelled from Spain, a Christian church was inserted into the existing building to create the city’s cathedral. Join an afternoon walking tour of Córdoba, explore the narrow streets of the old quarter and enjoy a guided tour of the Great Mosque, also known as the Mezquita, and the Jewish synagogue.

Stay overnight at the 4-star Hotel Córdoba Center (4Q) close to the pedestrianised centre.

Day 6 Córdoba-Seville

Travel to Seville, (88 miles, 90 minutes) where you will enjoy a panoramic coach tour of the city. Visit Seville cathedral for a guided tour before enjoying some free time to enjoy lunch in the tapas bars of the 'Barrio Santa Cruz' and surrounding areas.

Stay two nights at the 4-star Hotel Sevilla Center (4Q).

Day 7 Seville

Spend the day at leisure in Seville. Relax at your hotel, or explore the city independently. Perhaps visit the Royal Alcazar or take a stroll through the Maria Luisa park to the Plaza de España. A farewell dinner is included at the hotel this evening.

Please note: Guests travelling on the April 27, 2022 departure will be in Seville during the annual Feria de Abril fiesta, and will have the chance to watch the horse-drawn carriages and flamenco dancers as they parade through the streets.

Day 8 Seville-UK

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK (134 miles, two hours), or extend your holiday in Almuñécar on the Granada coastline.
