Challenging but Magical Visit to Remote Indian Villages

In early December the tribes of Nagaland, an Indian state near Burma, come together for a fantastic annual festival. This small group 17-day cultural and scenic tour is a unique opportunity to explore the little-known Indian states of Meghalaya, Assam and Nagaland. On this adventurous trip visit headhunter villages, stay in a stilt house and taste tea straight from the plantation.

  • Hornbill Festival – Spend two days at Nagaland’s annual festival, celebrating the diverse tribal heritage
  • Cherrapunjee – Walk through Khasi villages and test out a bridge made from tree roots
  • Kaziranga National Park – Take a jeep safari in search of Asian one-horned rhino, elephant and other wildlife
