Day 1 UK - Amsterdam
Travel to Amsterdam (a journey from Calais of approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes) and embark Spirit of the Rhine. Enjoy a welcome reception and dinner on board.
Your ship remains moored here overnight.
Day 2 Amsterdam - Arnhem
This morning you can join an included excursion that focuses on local food and culture, or you can join an included tour of Amsterdam by coach.
Afterwards, enjoy a canal cruise to see the city centre with its pretty bridges and attractive gabled houses up close.
Spirit of the Rhine begins the cruise towards Arnhem this afternoon, arriving in the evening for an overnight mooring.
Day 3 Arnhem
This morning you can join an included tour to learn more about the bloody battle that was fought here during World War II.
Continue to the old church in Oosterbeek, where the Allies took refuge prior to withdrawing, passing some of the fields where the landings took place.
Set sail again this afternoon and begin the overnight journey to Bonn.
Day 4 Bonn - Koblenz
Arrive in Bonn this morning and perhaps join an optional walking tour to see sights such as the Electoral Palace and the baroque City Hall.
Continue cruising to Koblenz this afternoon, arriving early this evening.
Day 5 Koblenz - Rüdesheim
The town of Koblenz is located where the rivers Rhine and Moselle meet. and continue their journey to the North Sea. See the vast Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, which you can visit by cable car on an optional excursion this morning.
Spend the afternoon relaxing on board Spirit of the Rhine as she cruises through the UNESCO-listed Middle Rhine.
Your ship arrives in Rüdesheim before dinner, giving you the opportunity to join an optional wine tasting.
Day 6 Rüdesheim - Düsseldorf
Spend the morning at leisure.
Your ship continues to Dusseldorf this afternoon, arriving late this evening.
Day 7 Düsseldorf
Enjoy an included tour of the famous Old Town. Join an expert guide on a stroll through the backstreets and discover why the Gothic St. Lambertus church has a twisted tower.
Spirit of the Rhine moors here overnight.
Day 8 Düsseldorf - UK
Disembark Spirit of the Rhine after breakfast to begin your return journey to the UK (your journey to Calais will take approximately 4 and 45 minutes).
