Solo Traveller Tours
Tuesday 27 July 2021
I had been thinking about going travelling for a while. I was looking for solo tours with a bit of adventure – unusual destinations, some walking maybe, or a food and wine tour?
There was so much choice, and I soon got tangled in the search for the perfect tour company. There are hundreds, if not thousands of specialist solo tours and it was a bit like hard work.
Simple Way to Find a Tour
But happily, I came across Tourfind which really makes it easy to find what you’re looking for because they’ve selected tours from a range of the most trusted UK-based providers, and you can look through just those tours designed to meet your needs.
All in one place – phew!
This has meant I am finally opening the door to a world of travel adventure.
The trip I chose was to the Italian Lakes.
Find Tours for Solo Travellers
In Italy it was great to have everything organised in advance and to have such an expert guide. However, the best thing was having the chance to spend time in a small group with like-minded mature travellers. Lots of choice of activities – I loved the up-market spa visit while others went shopping. And the lake cruises were beautiful! It was so pleasant to come together as a group at the end of the day, sharing tables at the restaurant and hearing more about fellow-travellers. Friendships are made in these delightful places.
Here I am sitting at a café on St Mark’s Square in Venice sipping an ice-cold gin and tonic with a new-found friend. Wouldn’t have done that on my own – what a treat!
